About Us

In January 2010, BeRightHR Limited was established to provide an affordable HR consultancy to help businesses prevent the escalation of HR issues , costing time and money, and provide a true business partner service to assist companies to develop and grow. The aim is to help businesses get the right start when employing staff with the right contracts and policies and procedures in place, to protect both their employees and the business. Once companies have got things right from the start they could then deal with other employment matters themselves. BeRightHR would be on hand to provide HR advice and consultancy if matters became more complex, which would help to keep the costs to your business to a minimum.

I am Barbara Barlow and before I founded BeRightHR Limited I carried out extensive research and identified that many companies do not employ HR staff and in many cases do not know where to begin with HR matters , in particular with discipline and grievance issues. Many business owners believe that HR just looks for problems or that it is only there to sort them out as they arise. Some  are reluctant to employ staff due to the vast number of laws governing employment , which can create a minefield for businesses and put them at risk if they are not compliant.  I looked at how to simplify the procedures and to offer sevices that could help businesses tackle that minefield successfully.

I developed the BeRightHR Toolkits to help companies feel more confident about dealing with disciplinary and grievance matters. These legally compliant on line tools consist of guidance notes with prepared report forms and letters to make it easier to understand and handle these issues.

The soft skills of HR can help prevent serious legal claims but I know that businesses like a guarantee or a safety net as legal costs are so high. I am pleased to recommend the Axa legal expenses indemnity insurance which if taken along with our services, the standard excess will not apply where the advice of our HR Consultants has been followed.

Barbara Barlow is a Graduate member of the CIPD and has an MSc in Human Resource Management from the University of Salford, Manchester. Barbara has spent over 18 years working as a HR professional for several large organisations both in the distribution and not for profit sectors.
